A practical approach to education

BC Hospitality Group has organised a course for students attending their final year of secondary school at local Højdevangens School. The course will give the students a practical insight into what it entails to work with hospitality, gastronomy and other areas relevant to the vocational field.

The hospitality business is in need of an increasing amount of workers with vocational qualifications; however, the number of students choosing a vocational education after finishing secondary school is decreasing. All the while one in five does not have an education seven years after having finished secondary school.  

The purpose of our collaboration with Højdevangens School is simply to encourage young people to continue with their studies and thereby increase their chances of getting a job.
We consider the course a long-term investment, as well as a necessary initiative to help young people who might benefit from a practical approach to education.

The course begins August 15 and consists of both practical and theoretical modules, allowing the students to get an idea of the varying tasks one might encounter working with us at BC Hospitality Group and a chance to engage with topics such as sustainability, hospitality, management, gastronomy etc.

We are looking forward to present the students with concrete examples of the many possibilities the vocational field can offer when it comes to both career as well as education.
