With a view to cutting the total energy consumption and CO2 emissions generated by Bella Center Copenhagen, BC Hospitality Group has signed a collaboration agreement with Schneider Electric A/S.
The agreement includes a new indoor climate strategy and a ‘Resource Advisor’ – a software capable of tracking the energy consumption of specific parts of the building and assessing various parameters based on sustainability criteria. This data is valuable and can then be transformed into specific targets for energy and resource optimisation. In the first four months of the project’s, a total of DKK 1 million has been saved compared to the centre's energy consumption in the last three years.
The transition to a more energy-optimised operation of Bella Center Copenhagen does not just include technical tools and systems, but also involves educating employees so that energy consumption and resource optimisation is at the forefront of their minds with regard to their respective work areas.
